    My 18 year old daughter called me after going to buy a battery for her Mazda 3. NAPA wanted $625 including the install! She figured it was excessive and drove over to another shop. $150 for a battery with the same specs and installed it herself in 15 minutes. She learned a lesson and saved $475 in the process.

    They did an assessment on my vehicle and it came back with an issue that will cost over $2000. They said it does not affect the safety of the vehicle or how the vehicle runs, so it doesn’t have to be fixed right now. Most shops would have said it had to be done immediately. I was impressed.

    Rivers Edge is straight-up fantastic. I blew a tire on a long trip and was flat-bedded to Prince George with an older 911 that takes uncommon tires. They took the car in after hours, tracked down the right rubber quickly, did a spot-on alignment and held the car safe until I could return. Their communication was proactive and clear. Absolute straight-shooting professionals. Highly recommended.

    Not the most affordable place but they do a good job, I like how they send you photos and check things outside of why you brought your vehicle in to make sure there was nothing else going wrong like fluid samples etc.

    After taking our truck to a muffler shop, because we had concerns that our manifold was leaking exhaust, we were told it was a lifter issue. Being a long way from home, we thought we would need to book an appointment for major repairs in Prince George. After reading good reviews, and it's proximity to our hotel, we went to Napa Auto Pro. We were immediately greeted warmly by front desk staff. He then recommended that we speak to a technician about our issue. The technician, immediately on listening to the motor, said it was not a lifter, simply an exhaust leak. He immediately took our truck into the shop and tightened up the loose manifold bolts, and assured us that our truck would make it back home. Thanks so much to Mitch, and the front counter staff, from the bottom of our hearts. You made our day, and our drive home (800 km) tomorrow, possible.

    Solid shop. They clearly explain the work they're doing and give reasonable estimates. Nothing is ever a surprise here. They do quality work and I've been happy that I can trust my vehicles with them to be fixed properly so that they're safe for my family. Customer service from everyone at the service advisor desk is always stellar and the techs give very good, detailed reports which I appreciate.

    Read the reviews and decided to give em a shot. I live two hours drive north and wanted to ensure I could get my requirements met same day. From booking to dropping off the RV that required an AC compressor to finalization of the work, Rivers Edge exceeded what they promised AND finished early.     Break line broke. 10 day wait for service at most shops. Just was in town to drop off a friend at the Airport. 100 yr old mother had a bad fall 5 days prior to this trip.     My friend and I arrived in PG from Mackenzie and found liquid on the ground and realized it was brake fluid. We called many repair shops however they were too busy. We talked to Wayne and he told us to bring the truck over. He fixed the issue before they closed and we were able to drive back to Mackenzie. I highly recommend Wayne and this shop for caring about their customers.

    Charged $500 to look at the ball joint that I already told them was broken. No work done in 5 hours, wouldn't recommend if you care about your money or don't have any mechanical knowledge.

    Hi Corbett, we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with how your diagnosis appointment went on your vehicle. We were very upfront on what you had booked in for, which was diagnosis of non-functional 4WD, and unidentified front end noise as well as a hopping sensation. You had also mentioned the previous owner hit the ditch with the vehicle and had work done on the differential. We identified the cause of the 4WD issue as well as multiple front end concerns (including frame damage) and some excessively worn rear suspension components and provided you with estimates and timeline for the repairs. Unfortunately the repairs were too extensive to complete in a day, which must have been your expectation as you declined to repair the vehicle. As for costs, we were upfront about those too as I am sure you remember signing the authorization before we started inspecting your vehicle - $199.95 + tax for each diagnosis/inspection. With all of that being said, yes, you did pay $459.90 for us to diagnose & identify over $8000 of repairs needed on your vehicle.

    I always get the best service with these guys. Friendly and honest without trying to upsell me anything i dont need. Also love getting updates and visuals over text while my car’s in the shop. I got an alignment and a front end inspection after going to a different shop that did very shotty work. Like, my power steering rack had bolts fall out of it on the highway (please dont go to ginos in mackenzie) lol These guys managed to go over the rack and make sure everything was torqued down properly this time and got my front end perfectly aligned again. They also gave some suggestions and price quotes for additional work i need done this winter. I’ll definitely be going back here even though I live in Mackenzie, its worth knowing I’m in a safe, well maintained vehicle. Thanks again guys 😎

    Great service on Monday from Wayne, was upfront about the quote for the work being done. When an issue was found with one of the wheels he called us letting us know before going ahead with extra work and before billing us, very much appreciated. Will be back in the future for sure.

    I was able to book a very quick appointment for a pre-purchase inspection. The interaction on the phone was very friendly and positive. I was warmly greeted when I went in for my appointment first thing in the morning I was quite shocked when I found out it was $300 Other places I had called were under $200. However, I went ahead. it took the full two hours I was very pleased with the results and the way they were explained to me The report contained brief videos explaining the importance of anything that was wrong and getting it corrected The fellow at the front desk was very helpful answering any questions I had. I had asked the price at several other places before I called here. I thought I saw a pattern and didn’t ask but I think I should’ve been told the price before I booked I probably wouldn’t have come However despite that I am incredibly satisfied with the work they did. Addendum:: The repairs that they suggested came to almost $7000 which was almost the price I paid for the car. With the assistance of a friend, I found a private mechanic. he found the work done by this inspection, incredibly helpful in preparing him to do his work he did many of the jobs suggested by Rivers edge, two or three suggested jobs were corrected simply without replacement saving me several thousand dollars. The total bill for his work was $2200. I’m still very happy. I got the inspection done by Rivers edge.

    Wonderful service, i unfortunately crashed my car and even with the area being caved in and the expectation being that I wouldn’t have my car for 2 weeks and I’d be paying a lump some, the workers at rivers edge kept me updated and were able to get my car back to me 3 days earlier then I had expected, and in great condition. All the hard work that they put in to my car helped a lot and made me feel great about bringing my car to rivers edge.

    They stated the truck needed a new engine $26,000 dollar quote. Towed it back to Alberta, in the mean time put deposit on new motor, once truck returned to our shop it took all of $700 hours o fix. They charged $740 for a diagnosis. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY GOING TO THIS SHOP! Paid for a crooked diagnosis. Trucking to haul it back. And lost deposit. They did not compression test or cylinder wash down, but can confirm engine was blown??? ( there was no option for zero starts) Manager was no help

    Hey Adrian I’m the owner and was involved with this diagnostic We did confirm that there was damage to the piston top and could not with good confidence say the engine will last with no problems We did also say that with new plugs and intake it may run better but can not guarantee that it wouldn’t let you down Good luck with the patch and hopefully it doesn’t let you down We stand behind our diagnosis and the pictures of the damage to the piston that we gave you in the inspection report . I wish I could post the picture here so that people will get the actual details

    I drive a company vehicle which needed an out of province inspection done in a very small time frame. Brody was able to get it done 24 hours before we said it was going to be done. A new windshield was needed, and Brody handled the logistics on that & had it done about 2 hours before he told us it was going to be done. All the while, he answered our phone calls & questions with no nonsense or sugar coating. Completely professional & very reasonably priced. I only wish I could rate this experience a 6 star, sadly Google only goes up to 5.

    Our alternator went during the cold snap. Rivers edge was the only place we could get it in right away. We told them exactly what was wrong with the vehicle. After having the vehicle for a couple hrs they quoted us over $1600. I found 3 places in town that quoted us under $700. So we decided to wait and save our $. Cost us $230 for Riverside to tell us that the interior and engine needed to be cleaned and we were correct about the alternator. Even sent us pictures of the dirty interior and engine and wrote in the report that we told them it was the alternator before dropping it off. I'll give them 1 star because the guy I spoke with was polite and friendly...otherwise this company is a rip off. Our alternator was fixed for $567...pully and belt included. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND STAY AWAY!!!

    I recently brought my vehicle in due to a concerning grinding sound at low speeds. Even though initial impression was positive, my experience turned out less than satisfactory. The staff was friendly, and I appreciated their attempt to diagnose the issue. But, after spending $230, I was disappointed to hear that they couldn't figure out the problem. While I understand some issues are challenging to diagnose, I expected more clarity, especially given the heavy diagnostic fee. The recommendation was to wait until the problem gets worse to help pinpoint the problem before returning isn't a solution I think is acceptable. I was hoping for a more proactive approach to identifying and addressing the issue. This left me feeling like I'm in the same position as I was before, just with a lighter wallet. Although the shop may do great with common repairs, my experience with this problem was unsatisfactory. I won't be returning, as I need a solution rather than a wait-and-see approach.

    Do not take your vehicle here for "diagnostics" if you aren't prepared to shell out $350 for nothing. I told them exactly what what code popped up, what needed to be fixed, and at the end of it all, they told me what I had already informed them of and said they couldn't fix it. Most expensive car wash I've ever had. I'm sure they do great work, but if they were honest, they wouldn't be charging my 17 year old son this amount of money for nothing. Yes I signed off, but it's criminal to not even say what the "clunking" noise is on a vehicle if you're going to do a proper diagnostic.

    Hi Jesse , I’m sorry you feel so unhappy with our service. Unfortunately if we are going to quote a repair we need to verify what needs to be done by diagnosing the fault first. I understand you were told you vehicle needed a transmission valve body by someone but we still needed to confirm before we attempted to repair it. Unfortunately the valve body has a computer built into it that as far as I know only Nissan in town could program and we had to recommend going there. I stand behind our team as we have the best diagnostic guys in town hands down , I’m sorry we couldn’t do the repair.     Had my vehicle in for warranty concern and the staff were awesome in making sure that things were fixed up properly and that my replacement parts were best they could get. Very much appreciated that they wanted to make sure I had no more concerns with this particular problem. Awesome people.

    This is place isn't even worth 1 star. Rivers Edge is the worst auto service center I've been in over 40 years. Never go back ... In responding to your reply, you did not call me to inform as you indicated. Also, you told me that the vehicle was already in the shop and started the work which it wasn't. You tend to twist the facts and that is not professional.

    Good place to bring your car if you want to get it fix sooner, I think I don't feel welcomed going back here after asking for some kind of refund, maybe on the battery they replaced, They tried to charge my old battery for 30min didn't take a charge. Interstate some how charged it, told River Edge interstate they said nothing was wrong with it. Anyway they stopped responding to my emails after saying they don't offer refunds, told me to ask interstates for a refund on the battery they sold me. I don't know why they would after they said it was good, passed all tests. Just thought they would look into my old battery first before they just completely shutting me out. Told my sister to get her car fix there, they were the go to place to bring my car just don't feel welcome anymore. I guess I got to take my car somewhere else and wait longer. Good place, free taxi ride home. My car is old now, maybe I need to find a cheaper place to bring my car to get fix. Got two batteries if my car dies again or sell.

    Awesome mechanic shop. Best in town by far. Rivers Edge fixed what the dealer and another shop in town just couldn't figure out and lied to me about. On top of it, they washed my car on both appointments, gave me taxi vouchers both ways and cleaned my engine bay of all the oil on both appointments(the other shop said they would charge me for the cleaning of the engine bay if I really wanted it) They are thorough, detailed, always keep you in the loop and everyone there has a great attitude. When you have to drop a bunch of money on repairs, experiences like this take the sting away because their staff make the situation easier to deal with. I will NEVER go anywhere else after this. Bruce has done an amazing job with Rivers Edge and all of his staff.

    Brought a friend's vehicle in for servicing. Booking was easy. Wayne was really friendly to deal with and very up-front about everything. Was booked to get the air and cabin filter changed, but found they didn't need to be done. It's a small thing, but that honesty goes a long way with trusting a shop. They gave a full detailed report about the service and their findings and recommendations for things that will need looked at in the future. Great service from Rivers edge!

    I was very impressed with Rivers Edge's integrity, professionalism, and efficiency. I called Rivers Edge when my car died while driving. They helped me with insurance to cover my towing cost. After diagnosis, they called me and let me know "the alternator replaced here few months ago is defective, they will replace it for me with no charge (under the warranty)". I got my car back after only 2 days since the incident happened. Highly recommend!!!

    My car broke down while my son was at his job site. We had it towed late in the day at closing hours to Rivers Edge. I called Connor and he made arrangements for my car to be dropped off that night with a key drop and to look at the car the following day and never turned us away. They looked at the car first thing in the morning, diagnosed and had the starter motor fixed before the end of their working day. I was always informed of every step with a call, email and text from Connor and an exact estimate of the cost and my keys were ready in the lockbox after closing hours after I paid over the phone. My teenage son needs the car to get to work as he is saving to go to College in August. Without Rivers Edge he would not be able to get to work or college classes as we live out of town away from transit options and we don’t have a second vehicle. Not only did they fix my car in more than record time, but they are helping a young person forge their way through life making a living and entering into a trade! Connor went above and beyond to call another shop to get my windshield replaced. Now that is 5 Star service and more importantly, Community! Thank you Rivers Edge.

    Horns not working, AJ & Wayne got on it, found that both horns had failed, wasn't the clockspring at all, was a bit pricey but you want a quality diagnosis and repair - you have to pay for it, saved me about $300 from what other places quoted. Another home run guys!!!!

    They reviewed my initial concern. Ruled out a initial issue and found a different maintenance issue. And was able to correct it. I have a full electric Nissan Leaf and the local Nissan dealer is unable to work on my car at this time. Nissan had no certified tech for EV's. And thank you team for helping with EV maintenance plan development.

    Hi Josh , this is Bruce the owner . I have reviewed the repair order for your vehicle and I very confused . You state we didn’t do work that we said but we clearly have all the test results , pictures and reports from our test equipment in the inspection that we sent you. Your vehicle unfortunately did not fail when we tested it even though there were codes for the starter circuit. I would be more then happy to discuss this with you if you would like to give me a call. I’m not sure what more we could have done at that time and don’t understand why this would warrant a 1 star review.

    My first experience with Rivers Edge was AMAZING! I cancelled an oil change appointment, but then had a bit of an emergency taking one of my winter tires off as it was seized. I was in a bit of a pickle, and the service advisor was very understanding and was able to squeeze me back into the schedule to help me with my concern. They do a complimentary inspection with all of their concerns available to you by text. I really liked their set up with this, as it was easy to navigate the webpage and they gave a description of what was wrong and why they thought it was a concern. 10/10 would recommend, and will be using their services for as long as I am in PG! Thank you for making a stressful time a little less stressful.

    booked an inspection for 8am, 2019 ram which has already passed a recent inspection from province it was purchased . called them at 1230 to see if it’s done , they couldn’t give me a time , went there at 230 still couldn’t give me a time they’d be done , by 330…. first time ever for a 7.5 hour inspection , i’d go anywhere else !!

    I sincerely apologize if there was any miscommunication but unfortunately the appointment was for 8:00 and the vehicle showed up after 8:30 and our technician had to start another clients job and that put your to later in the day. My service advisor assured me that he communicated to the person that dropped it off that we will get it done but they would have to leave it for the day so we could fit it in and was in communication with him through out the day. Our professional technicians are scheduled very tight as we have a heavy work load so when people are late for their appointments they have to get juggled around. Again I apologize and sorry we could not meet your expectations.I would be more then happy to recommend another shop that is not as busy as us if you would like.

I had my battery changed and coded for my BMW but they also included an inspection and car wash, they even had the courtesy to change my key fob battery for me while my car was there.     Asked them to do two specific things, they kept adding and adding more and ended up keeping my vehicle overnight. By the time I picked it up nothing had been fixed, the exhaust sounded the same, the brakes kept squeaking, and I was given a $2000 bill.

    My pick up needed work done and this place quoted us $3000 for the work. Fortunately we were able to speak to another shop and they quoted us less than half the price. Although this place still dinged us for $750 for a diagnostic and new battery. Disgusting. 0/10 do not recommend.

    Had rivers edge “inspect” some broken springs on a front strut assembly on a lifted Tacoma that I was having difficulty determining the brand of. They were able to confirm that the springs were broken which I already knew but also determined which brand and for what size lift. It cost $165ish for the inspection which I felt was a little steep but all in all quite helpful in determining what brand was already in and I was able to find another brand that matched the size for a much cheaper replacement strut assembly. They however wouldn’t install customer supplied parts so I plan on using a different shop for the installation of the struts. Pretty good service but I felt they were not looking for ways to save me money on the vehicle. Overall I’m satisfied but not my favorite shop in town.

    Came in with rad repair to be done. Waited 1 1/2 weeks to get in. Rad leaking, wanted to be sure it was rad hoping for easy repair. Cost $229 to tell me I had a hole in the rad then wanted to book another Appt to have it fixed for $1600.VW dealer quoted me $1200. When asked specifics of hours and labour costs said they didn't know but was $800. Rad costs were $400 plus tax, I can get one at Lordco for $275 Inc taxes. So wasted $229 to tell me what I told them that I had a rad leak and needed replacement and couldn't be fixed. Customer service Rep rude, basically telling me to do it myself when asked to explain the charges. So I will!! Beware over charging. Never heard of a $229 diagnosis on something they can plainly see and customer told them. Waste of my time and money, but they washed the car. Expensive car wash.

    Hey Ray Bruce here , I talked this over with the team and unfortunately we have to do a full cooling system inspection and test to verify that there are no other components failing and/or leaking. Fortunately it was only the radiator that needs to be replaced (as you had suspected). I fully understand you can purchase the part directly from a supplier cheaper then we will charge to install one and attach our 2 year nation wide warranty to . We base our prices on profitability , that way we will be here for the future to take care of our customers long term.     Bumper to bumper inspection The guys were helpful and friendly and accomidating. Dropping off early, picking up late. The report was easy to read and clearly laid out. Loved that I got an electric copy to review before having someone call. Even came a helped my after hours when I had trouble getting into the lock box. AND a shout out to whomever washed it. It looked grest afterwards and it was really dirt and covered with needles, leaves, and who knows what else after sitting for a year outside.

    They did a diagnostic on my transmission and gave me a detailed report. Unfortunately it's needs replaced they went above and beyond searching suppliers and auto wreckers to find me a transmission but there are none to be found 😭

    Desperately need your car cleaned/detailed? Have a long-haired dog that seemingly makes the car dirtier and dirtier by the day? Don’t think it’s worth paying to get your car cleaned? RUN don’t walk to Rivers Edge. I am in absolute awe. Although I’ve vacuumed and cleaned out my 2015 Crosstrek in the past, I just didn’t have the tools to get it cleaned RIGHT. I’ve been meaning to treat myself to a detail for quite some time so I called to book. Connor was so gosh darn friendly and booked me in impressingly quick (within days). I dropped off my car, and after a full-days worth of cleaning (trust me, it needed it) the car came back cleaner than I’ve seen it in YEARS. Seriously. It’s so clean that my friend asked me if they put new floor mats in my car. They didn’t. It was the 2015 original ones they came with. THAT CLEAN. Brody was a sweetheart who processed the paperwork so quickly, and I was out of there in no time. I cannot express how impressive this is; I HIGHLY recommend that you go to Rivers Edge to have your car detailed, but I also highly encourage Rivers Edge to never let that gem Riley go! All around phenomenal service and a great fricken job! Thanks guys!

    I had a 1993 Izuzu Trooper in for a tune up and thought the $1600 invoice was rather excessive for the work performed on the vehicle. They also wanted to charge $296 to replace the alternator belt on his truck, so not sure what hourly shop rates are there but would guess somewhere are $250 based on that quote, so my wife declined that service as she was the one that took it in as I am out of town. Furthermore they said the vehicle could use a wheel alignment which she had just gotten the day before. In conclusion I was very unsatisfied with the services they performed on the vehicle and will definitely not be using their services in the future.

    Hi Kevin , I have left you a message to contact me directly to discuss this , I believe there is a miscommunication issue between us and your wife and you . We have a very detailed report on the repair and the inspection that was sent to you that should clarify these issues . As for the alignment we had no way of knowing you just had it done but my technician noticed during his road test and complimentary inspection that the steering wheel was off center so he recommended an alignment, if it was just performed we recommend you take it back to the shop that did it and ask them to straighten your wheel. As for the belt pricing it includes labour , parts , inspection of pullies and bearings and taxes not just labour . Please return my message so we can resolve this. Thank you Bruce Williams (owner)

    I diagnosed and found a leak on my wife's car's coolant outlet. Asked River's edge to doing an inspection and replace said part. Asked to order part prior to bringing car in so it would be there. They diagnosed and confirmed it was in fact the part I said. They said unfortunately it would take 2.6 hours to change the four bolts on the part and would have to do it tomorrow. As we live out of town an hour I asked to just give me the part and I'll do it at home. A 30 minute job of replacing the part and unfortunately they have the wrong part. When called to make things better and get a new part I was told backyard DIY people are not the customers they want. Extremely disappointed. We were looking for a new shop for our farm business as our old mechanic finally retired. Spending $439 and several hours just to be talked to in a condescending manner when the wrong part was ordered is a bit dishearting. Was hoping for better from such a nice looking shop.

    I think the POS system and the inspection for 416$ was good, I apperceive of this. But I did the compression test 160 on each cylinder and was nothing with a dead engine or top end. I final found a way to install the part I brought to your shop to put in "Crankshaft sensor" 22$ part and fixed all the issues once I relearned the part. No codes now and runs very good. Not bad for a Penny computer guy. I will come again anther time, but a bit disappointed I solved the problem not the shop.

    Overall, I was quite unhappy with my experience at River’s Edge Services. I went to them already knowing what the problem was with my vehicle, as I had it diagnosed elsewhere: I needed the daytime running module replaced. Unfortunately, there was a breakdown in communication, and I ended up paying over $200 to get the same issue diagnosed again. When I made the appointment, I was under the impression that they would be fixing it. I feel as though I explained my problem clearly at the start, and felt that I was not listened to by the men at the front desk. I would not suggest going to River’s Edge Services unless you are very competent in car maintenance – otherwise I think you may not be given the service you expect and deserve. The other upsetting issue is that I was quoted an amount for the DRL replacement by both River’s Edge Services and another shop, and River’s Edge quote was $800 more than the other place. I’m not sure how they justify this, but I will not be returning!

However, it is our policy at River's Edge Services to diagnose all of our Client's concerns ourselves so that we may guarantee that we will fix the problem correctly the first time. Especially when it comes to electrical issues. I cannot speak for the other shop that quoted you, but we always recommend replacement of electronic modules with OEM grade parts, as we have seen in our experience that after-market modules are not built to the same standards as the original manufacturer.     Kind of a minor issue, just hard to get at. Dealer argued with me about what the REAL problem was and told me $2,500 labor plus about $10K for a used engine from the wreckers plus all the taxes etc. These guys at Rivers Edge actually listened to what I had to say was the problem, Curtis verified I was right (broken exhaust valve) and fixed it, also did an oil & coolant change, spark plugs plus a new serpentine belt, for for just over $5K including taxes. When it was returned to me the car had been washed and vacuumed - NICE. A BIG 5 Stars to Wayne & Curtis on a long job well done.

    Greetings…I wanted to share my experience with River’s Edge Auto Service…On a road trip from out of town…pulling a Cargo Trailer…I notice a noise coming from the rear end…River’s Edge was highly rated Auto Service to get work done…I’m an retired H-D Mechanic and suspected perhaps the pinion bearing in the diff…River’s Edge went for a test drive and then put it the hoist and Pat the Mechanic put his ear to it and zeroed it to the inner Pinion bearing…I didn’t want a band aid patch job…do it right and they did…Brody on the front counter ordered the Parts…Pat did the Re&Re…and with the high mileage I said to change the Crown and Pinion gear set…all bearings and seals…they even provided a detailed description of repair…included about 8 sequential photos of disassemble…on the bench…new parts being installed…then 8 sequential photos of assembly…included the specs of pinion pre-load…backlash…and also a photo of gear mesh pattern on Crown and Pinion…now a lot of shops will tell you what parts they replaced…but don’t go into this level of detail…I pulled wrenches 🔧 for 40 years and was very impressed with their whole presentation of inspection…I even looked at the failed bearing myself…Pat was right…it was the inner Pinion Bearing…From the front Counter to Shop Service…From drop off to picking a washed truck…River’s Edge the complete package…and would highly recommend your Auto Service needs with Bruce and his excellent staff…Thanks again…River’s Edge…Sincerely…William Painchaud

    Rivers Edge far exceeded my expectations which is rare in this day and age. I brought my truck in with some issues a day earlier than my appointment because I worked the next day . They brought my truck in the day before my appointment and had it diagnosed and a quote made up for the work that needed to be done. Mitch ( Tech ) had my truck fixed and running perfectly before noon the next day . I got it back with a complimentary wash done, completely fixed and all for the exact price I was quoted no more no less. It’s been a long while since I have been this impressed with a service department and it’s nice peace of mind to have a knowledgeable tech I trust. Included with any of our services is a digital courtesy inspection as well as digital pictures of the process of the service they are performing, your vehicle returned to you washed vacuumed and wiped down as well as a 2 yr 40000km warranty on everything we do.     Maybe it was just a misunderstanding? But the last time I went here for a rotor and brake job, I was schedule a week away because they were pretty busy. When the day came, they inspected/diagnosed the car and I was told I'll need to book another schedule (another 1 week waiting) for the actual fixing of the car (frontend rotor and brake pad change). So all in all 1 week for diagnosis and another 1 week of waiting for the actual job. I went to another shop in the city and they we're able to fix my issue in a day.

    Suggest not to go there if you want to save your money, go somewhere else. Had very bad experience with them never going back again. These guys just rip of the customers. Two weeks ago I visited to fix up my car which they fixed it and gave surety to me that its properly fixed. But after two weeks that problem happened again and I visited them to get it fix. They say we have to start over again doing the full inspection. Like what’s the point of full inspection if it was already inspected just two weeks ago as I paid $230 to these guys just for the inspection and rest of the labour cost was separate. I understand the labour cost and I am not denying to pay it but paying $230 for the inspection again is such a foolish thing, it’s totally ripping off. The guy on the front desk was so rude he said our mechanics don’t work for free and I want to tell him my money isn’t growing on trees I work hard for it.

    Hi Gavin it’s Bruce the owner of Rivers Edge Services. I believe there is a huge communication/ language barrier that both sides could not get past. The first time you came in we diagnosed a large clunking noise and found a sheared off lower rear shock bolt and repaired it for you. Now you have another noise from underneath the vehicle and my service advisor explained to you that if it’s the same noise or something we did that it would be no charge but if it’s something different we have to charge to inspect to find the problem.
